Borinya is a specialist secondary school that caters for young people who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from mainstream school. Their issues may range from learning difficulties, family breakdown, and/or emotional/social challenges.
Our aim is to support young people to re-engage in education or find alternative pathways through vocational training and work.
Borinya has been established in partnership between Catholic Education, Sandhurst Diocese, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Hume Region, Galen Catholic College, Wangaratta High School, North East Action and Support for Youth, The Rural City of Wangaratta and The Centre For Continuing Education.
Borinya is a a member of CREW (Catholic Regional Education Wangaratta)
